My father's anchestors

My father's family comes from forest communities in Hälsingland Sweden. From the region of Los, Voxna, Ovanåker & Edsbyn. If you go longer back in time, there's a certain amount of immigration from Dalarna and Värmland. Most there where farmers, but there are one or two shoemakers and tailors.

In the late 1800s four of my grandfather's siblings emigrate to North America. Two brothers died in the great Hinkley fire in 1894. A brother and a sister survived the fire. Today, there are several hundred descendants of these emigrants in the United States.
